Jennifer L. Gitter is a Senior Associate in the firm's Honolulu office and is a member of the employment law department at Torkildson, Katz, Hetherington, Harris & Knorek, Attorneys at Law. Her areas of practice involve counseling employers in all aspects of employment law labor relations and litigating employment disputes. Ms. Gitter is licensed to practice law in several state and federal courts in Hawaii.
Attorney Gitter has served as a lawyer on several notable legal cases at the firm that ultimately went to trial. Such cases involved a wide range of issues, including legal matters involving labor law, civil rights law and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).
Ms. Gitter frequently speaks about a variety of legal topics, including a 2016 FLSA Master Class wage and hour law and compliance in Hawaii. In addition, she serves as a Lecturer in Law at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law.
While attending the University of Michigan Law School, Ms. Gitter also served as a student attorney at the law school’s Pediatric Advocacy Clinic and Child Advocacy Law Clinic.
