Webinar: Impact on Employer Handbook Policies and Strategies to Remain Union Free - February 6th, 2020 with John Knorek

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) ushered in the new year by issuing employer-friendly decisions and rules that primarily impact unionized employers. These include:

  • Cutting off dues deductions after an agreement is terminated
  • Clarifying when an employer may take unilateral action

Other decisions made by the NLRB, however, affect nonunion employers as well. This may encourage employers to revise policies pertaining to:

  • Remaining union free campaigns and union elections,
  • Dress codes,
  • Workplace investigations, and
  • Use of company emails.

Attorney John Knorek of Hawaii law firm Torkildson, Katz, Hetherington, Harris & Knorek will be joined by attorneys Richard Rand and Emily Marr, as they discuss the NLRB's decisions and how it impacts organizations.

The webinar will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

The registration fee is $0 for members and $25 for nonmembers.

You may download the registration form and submit it with a check payment. Members can log in for the discount.
