Torkildson Katz, A Law Corporation, is proud to announce the appointment of two new Directors at the firm - Andrew Chianese and Rachel Miyashiro.
Attorney Andrew D. Chianese works in the litigation department at our law firm. Mr. Chianese has experience handling business litigation, construction litigation, and real property and commercial litigation.
He has worked at firms that specialize in these areas and has successfully represented individual clients and multinational corporations in state and federal court, as well as in mediation and arbitration proceedings. He also counsels clients on business strategy and provides analysis of proposed laws or regulations that could impact businesses.
Attorney Rachel K. Hoke Miyashiro is a member of the employment law department and focuses her practice on labor and employment compliance and litigation. She counsels and defends a wide variety of employers in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, whistleblower, and retaliation claims. She also assists clients with complying with state and federal employment and labor laws.
Before becoming a lawyer, Ms. Miyashiro worked as a teacher in Hawai'i and as a paralegal for the Legal Aid Society of Hawai'i. While in law school, she worked as a law clerk for a Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Hearings Officer and the Social Security Administration.
Mr. Chianese and Ms. Miyashiro have made invaluable contributions to Torkildson Katz since joining the firm, and we are excited for them to help us continue our tradition of providing excellent legal services to our valued clients.
