Attorney John L. Knorek To Speak At Hawaii State Bar Association Seminar July 28, 2017

An attorney from Torkildson, Katz, Hetherington, Harris & Knorek Attorneys At Law will be among a panel of speakers discussing recent developments in state and federal law during an afternoon seminar on Friday, July 28. The seminar, “State and Federal Legislative Updates and Developments,” is co-sponsored by the Hawaii State Bar Association.

Attorney John L. Knorek, a Director at the firm, will talk about recent developments at federal employment agencies and the possible impact of the Trump budget. He will address developments at the National Labor Relations Board, Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, and discuss how federal appellate courts as well as the Supreme Court may rule on pending employment and labor law cases.

Attorney Knorek represents large and small employers in all aspects of employment and wrongful discharge law. In addition to his practice, he provides training to businesses on employment discrimination and preventative personnel practices. He has been recognized as a “Top Rated Lawyer in Labor & Employment Law.”

Other topics covered at the seminar will include 2017 Hawaii employment law initiatives and legislative initiatives related to civil rights. The seminar qualifies for 1 Continuing Legal Education credit.
