Torkildson Katz, A Law Corporation and the Maui Chamber of Commerce will present the highly anticipated 2023 Maui Employment Law Seminar on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, at the Maui Beach Hotel.
This full-day event includes several training workshops and information about cost-effective approaches for business owners, HR personnel, and business managers. In-depth presentations will also address specific topics such as best practices and strategies for businesses to reduce risk, avoid liability, and protect organizations by staying informed about the latest developments in labor law and personnel-related issues.
The seminar is sponsored by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Hawaii. Participants who attend the seminar will also have an opportunity to learn more about creating employment relationships, rightful discipline and discharge, issues involving the National Labor Relations Board, FMLA and FLSA leave and pay issues, disability law, workers’ compensation, and TDI benefits.
Registration includes a continental breakfast, buffet style lunch, access to Leading Labor Law Council, a hard copy of the newly updated 2023-2024 Chamber Desk Manual, as well as access to a digital version of the Chamber Desk Manual.
The annual event is open to Chamber/SHRM members and non-members. An Early Bird $30 registration discount is available until September 15, 2023. Starting September 16, 2023, regular registration fees apply until October 3, 2023, when registration ends for the October 4, 2023 event in Maui.
