Robert Katz, Senior Labor Counsel, has been practicing law in Hawaii for over 50 years. During that time he has counseled and represented Hawaii, mainland and international based clients in both the private and public sectors in antitrust, business, employment and labor, health care transactions and litigation. Mr. Katz has appeared successfully before Hawaii and federal administrative agencies, arbitrators and Hawaii and federal courts at all levels in Hawaii and on the Mainland, USA. He has also represented both public and private Hawaii, mainland and international base companies in labor negotiations. Mr. Katz is an original and continuing co-editor of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce’s Desk Manual for Employers and its Model Employer Handbook.

Mr. Katz serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations in Hawaii. He has also served on committees at the American Bar Association (ABA). In addition, he has also been named “Lawyer of the Year” for Employment Law – Management for Honolulu by Best Lawyers®, which also lists him as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” for his legal work in Employment Law – Management, Health Care Law, Labor Law and Litigation – Labor and Employment Law. Mr. Katz has been listed in “Who’s Who” since the publication’s inception. He is the first attorney from Hawaii elected to the College of Labor and Employment Law.
